 Vilalte is situated at an altitude of almost 1000 m., 60 km by road southwest of Perpignan, and 8 km from the picturesque village of Corsavy. After following the 2 kms long pathway of rock and earth, which is not suitable for very long and low built cars, Vilalte welcomes you in the middle of very pure and wild nature. In all directions you can walk in very varied environment. Near the house you can join the mountain trail GR 10 which will guide you towards the heights of Silence and the Marvellous. Meet the energy of the mountain streams and waterfalls, take a rest at the feet of centuries-old oaks or feel the timelessness of the immense blocks of granite.
There are many indicated trails through the forest, and higher up where there are no more trees (above 1500 m).
You can stay in Vilalte for a short or a longer time, in one of the five rooms or in the cosy dormitory accommodating a maximum 6 people.
Vilalte is a spacious house, it has a big lounge / dining room with a fire place, a group / meditation room, a lounge with coffee corner (coffee machines and water boiler and a small 'kitchen'. The water comes from two sources; it is very good drinking water, rich in iron. Modern and sufficient sanitation is provided in the house. There is a large terrace with panoramic view where you can eat outside, or hang out under the parasol or in the lazy chairs.
The other accommodation possibilities are the chalet (see further on) and camping. There are some very nice places in the shadow for a tent or camper. We also rent a big cotton quality tent with everything already in it: a good mattress, kitchen gear etc.

The costs
The prices are the following:
A room for two persons costs 23-29 € per night, for one person in a room it is 19 en 25 € per night.
A place in the dormitory is 11 € per night; in this case you need to bring your sleeping bag and towel.
Camping costs 10 € for 1,15 € for 2 persons per night, camper / caravan 17 € (electr. max 100 w). We rent the tent with camping gear for 200 € per week.
At night we offer a very complete vegetarian dinner, with mostly organically grown cereals and vegetables, partially from our own gardens.
You can make your own breakfast and cold lunch in the house. We don't have a kitchen for communal use, but there is hot water available and a fridge, coffee machine, water boiler, dishes, salad bowls etc. You can enjoy your meal on the terrace or in the lounge. In the house is a very small 'shop' with the most important things you need. There is a small shop in the restaurant at Corsavy, and in Arles sur Tech and Amélie les Bains are supermarkets.
